Just as tlhIngan Hol has a specific word for the question Why?, so too there is a word for the question When?.

The word is

ghorgh When?

Just like qatlh Why?, ghorgh comes before the object-verb-subject construction in a sentence, and the OVS portion of the sentence is unchanged.

jISop	I am eating
ghorgh jISop	When am I eating?
jagh luHoHta' be'pu'vetlh	Those women killed the enemy
ghorgh jagh luHoHta' be'pu'	When did those women kill the enemy?
vIHoH	I will kill him
ghorgh vIHoH	When will I kill him?

Time And tlhIngan Hol

The question word When? requires answers couched in terms of time. tlhIngan Hol has a number of ways of indicating specific times at which actions take place: through aspected verb suffixes (described in the last few lessons), but also through certain syntactic Type 9 suffixes and certain words for yesterday, tomorrow, days ago, days from now, weeks ago, weeks from now and so on.
