tlhIngan DIpmey - Klingon Nouns

Here are some basic Klingon nouns to start you off. The lessons will be referring to these, and eventually the vocabulary will expand to cover new nouns further down the line.

You only need to learn a few of them at a time, and come back here now and then to refresh your memory and, thus, build up your basic vocabulary. In time, further words will be added to your vocabulary but these are the seed words which will get you to the point where you can have basic communications with other Klingon speakers.

These are only a sampling of the range of tlhIngan Hol nouns available. It is highly recommended that you obtain The Klingon Dictionary and at least one other book, namely Klingon for The Galactic Traveler, to have access to the full range of Klingon words. Some online sources also have many Klingon words, some very new, which do not appear in The Klingon Dictionary or Klingon for The Galactic Traveler. A future lesson will provide useful links to those resources.

Tomorrow, the blog will list seventy Klingon verbs.
